Collaborating & thought partnership

Meaningful progress starts with a conversation.

I bring experience in school culture, student relationships, and school improvement—and a willingness to listen, ask questions, and learn. I'm interested in working alongside people who see possibilities and want to explore them together.
Delvin Vick looking toward the horizon

How I approach the work

A thought partner. A willing participant.

I've served in school leadership since 2008, following experience in the classroom. My work as principal of Warrington Preparatory Academy in Pensacola, Florida, has deepened my understanding of culture, student relationships, and the demands of school improvement and turnaround.

I offer that experience as a starting point for shared thinking. Each school has its own people, history, strengths, and challenges. Listening to that context helps us ask better questions and consider possibilities that fit.

I'm continuing to build my toolkit. I welcome opportunities to contribute, participate in meaningful work, and learn alongside educators and school communities.

Ways we might collaborate

Start with the question that matters.

01

Thought partnership

Explore a question around school culture, student relationships, or improvement. Exchange perspectives and consider possible next steps together.

02

Conversations with school teams

Make room for educators and leaders to reflect on their experiences, surface questions, and learn from one another.

03

Shared learning & creative projects

Participate in school visits, educator conversations, or storytelling projects that help meaningful work become visible.

Momentum in Practice · A growing vision

Meaningful work deserves to be seen.

I would love to be invited into schools to listen to educators and students, witness practices that strengthen relationships, culture, and learning, and understand the work behind them.

Through conversations, writing, and creative storytelling, I hope to share what I learn in ways that honor the people doing the work and invite others to explore possibilities in their own settings.

My long-term goal is to follow those stories across states, throughout the nation, and eventually around the world. Momentum in Practice is a vision I'm developing, and I welcome conversations about where it could begin.

A school community and the people behind its work

What I'd hope to explore

The story behind the practice.

A visit would begin with curiosity about your context, the evidence you can share, and the lessons you're still learning.

01

The moment

What need or opportunity prompted this work? What did your school community decide to do?

02

The people

Who helped shape the approach? How do students, educators, and families experience it?

03

The practice

What does it look like day to day? What conditions and commitments help it work?

04

The learning

What evidence of progress can you share? What challenges remain, and what might others learn from your experience?

Sharing a school's story includes its context, evidence, and unfinished work. Those details help others consider what may be useful in their own communities.

How we could begin

A conversation before a commitment.

  1. 01

Share what you have in mind

Tell me about your school or organization, the question you're exploring, or a practice you'd like others to see.

  2. 02

    Explore the fit together

Discuss the purpose, timing, people involved, and what a useful contribution or visit could look like.

  3. 03

Agree on a thoughtful next step

Decide what is practical, how we will participate, and whether and how any stories or creative work will be shared.

One platform. Connected interests.

People. Ideas. Possibilities.

My forthcoming nonfiction writing explores student relationships and the impact one caring adult can have. I hope it will deepen this work as it develops, alongside the lessons I continue to learn from others.

Seize The MOMENTum also makes room for food, culture, travel, and creative storytelling. Restaurants, local businesses, and creative partners can explore that side of my work on the Create page.

Let's explore what this moment could become.

Have a question, an invitation, or a story worth sharing? I'd welcome the opportunity to learn more.
